Article 2: Rights and Duties
of the Guild members
Guild members vow to help and protect
each other, and drink French wine.
They vow to always consider top priority to help fellow Guild members to find previous corpse. They vow to train newbes having joined the Guild, and eat French cheese. They vow to develop particular skills of benefit for the guild.Services to other Guild members are always at cost.Services to inhabitants of Norrath will be charged an appropriate fee. They vow to participate to Guild events or quests, level and timing permitting. They vow to serve the Guild with endless efforts and always show proudly their Guild membership (i. e. no /Anonymous).If they know the Arcane, they vow to use True Gaellic (i. e. speak French) with other Guild member whenever it makes sense. They vow to always split loot fairly with other Guild members or with any Norrath hero also willing to split. They vow to make reasonable efforts to stay in the same level range as the majority of the Guild in order to ensure balanced grouping of fellow Guild members. They vow to always accept invitation to group from a fellow Guild member when within same level range. They vow respect to their officers and leader.
They never can be or become Killer Players.Should they engage in duels, they do not represent the Guild doing so, unless officially named Guild Champion for a specific cause by a Guild decision. They never intentionally steal a kill from an inhabitant of Norrath. They are hereby entitled to all respect and services from fellow Guild members as in the spirit of the Charter. They promise they will try to understand this charter, even if not written in True Gaellic.
Article 3: Behavior of the Divine
Froggy
The Divine Froggy will share its
knowledge and skills with any fellow Froggy requesting it.The
Divine Froggy will use appropriate language and politeness a nd
gallantry between themselves and with any Norrath inhabitant.A
little fun is not prohibited however.
She will respect any newbe. She will only use the Wondrous Elvish Book (the WEB) to search for nice representation of information already known (map, pictures,...).She will discover Norrath within Norrath. She will participate in the events organized by the Guild to the best of her skills. She will provide the leader with the needed wisdom to update the Guild list in the Wondrous Elvish Book as well as with any additional information that should be placed in the WEB. She will drink more French wine. She will always "/tell coucou" (hello) to the Guild when awaking in Norrath and "/tell bonne nuit" (ninite) when camping out.She will always congratulate fellow Guild members reaching another level. She will post the funny stuff on the ezboard.
Article 4: Members
To join the Guild a candidate does not have to speak fluent True Gaellic, but should understand that exposure to True Gaellic is inevitable in the Guild (and hopefully she'll learn the basics). To join the Guild a candidate must have shown willingness to follow the charter. To join the Guild a candidate must have shown some fun while partying with Guild members. To join the Guild a candidate must have a minimum 2 times her level in the alcohol tolerance skill (yep). To join the Guild a candidate then has to be presented to an officer by a Guild member.
Upon pronouncing her vows, and drinking a couple of beers, the candidate becomes Guild member.Guild members can leave the Guild at any time, however by doing so they forfeit any right to get back into the Guild unless exceptional circumstances.
Article 5: Officers
Officers have additional rights
and duties.
They vow to create interesting events and quests, level and timing permitting. They vow to train newbes. They vow to strictly abide by the chart and look at its communication and application. They vow to drink some more wine. Officers must have a minimum of 4 times their level in the alcohol tolerance skill (yep). They vow to participate in the Court Rulings votes of the Guild. They vow to fully abide by any Guild Court Rulings voted. They vow to answer personal /tell from Guild members if possible immediately and in the best of their ability. They vow to answer Magic List messages from Guild members if possible immediately and in the best of their ability.
They are entitled to total respect by the Guild members. To become an officer, a Guild member having done an exceptional act of benefit for the Guild, must be presented for office by an existing officer. There is then a Guild Court Ruling on the motion. An officer can resign its office at any time to get back to simple Guild member without prejudice.
Article 6: Non-members
Concerning non Guild members,The
Guild maintains a list of Friends of the Froggies and a list of
Foes of the Froggies.Any Killer-Player is a Foe.Dragons, Gnolls
and Orcs too.The Knight of Gamekey Guild members are Friends. The
Aces of Knights Guild members are too.The list will evolve through
Guild Court Ruling.Guild members are forbidden to group or aid
in any way Foes of the Guild.Friends of the Guild are entitled
to exceptional distinctions and benefits if they are fun to adventure
with. Those distinctions are awarded or cancelled through Guild
Court Ruling.Distinctions are to recognize fellows that in many
ways could have been Guild members. They are usually given to
heroes that are good friends but cannot join the Guild for a good
purpose (doesn't get a clue about True Gaellic, wooed not to drink,
would be killed if leaving current Guild...).Chevaliers of the
Guild are typically heroes having saved the life of Guild members
many times and honestly shared loot. They are entitled the same
respect as standard Guild members. They are entitled to help from
any Guild members if not conflicting with Guild immediate or long
term interest.Commandeurs of the Guild are typically heroes that
have trained Guild newbees or given very valuable donations to
Guild members. They are entitled to the full privilege of Guild
membership, providing they drink French wine.Grand Croix de la
Confrérie are typically heroes always willing to come help
the Guild with critical issues. They are entitled to the full
privilege of Guild membership, and may even be given additional
privileges, like officer role for Guild Court Ruling, under special
circumstances.
Article 7: Guild Court Rulings
Events in Norrath can create the
need for the Guild to make a specific Guild Court Ruling.Furthermore
any Guild member can propose a motion for the Guild to accept.Guild
members vow to only create motion for valid subjects, or to get
an excuse to all go get a drink together at the nearest Tavern.Typical
motions are:
Proposition to create an Event or Quest,Answering a War proposition from an other Guild,Answering a duel proposition against a Guild member,Proposition to modify the Friends or Foes lists,Proposition to promote a member to Officer or demote an Officer,Proposition to exclude a member from the Guild,Proposition to award or cancel a distinction to a non-member,Modification of the Charter,Proposition to punish a member that didn't respect the charter,Proposition of retaliation against a non-member for unethical behavior towards the Guild,Proposition to go get a beer,Proposition to impose use of True Gaellic everywhere in Norrath,etc...
The motion is always followed by a vote from all Guild members present.Should less than three officers are present, the officers have the choice to adjourn. If not, the Ruling resulting from the vote is only valid until a new vote with at least three officers can take place.
All members get one vote.Officers get an additional vote.
Vote can only be Yes, No or Pass.Motion is voted if there is more Yes than No, with the exception of modification to Charter. In case of a tie, the leader has final decision if present. If not the motion is rejected. In the case of Charter modification, the Yes needs to be at least twice the No for the motion to pass.In case the motion finds a member guilty against the Charter, the leader will decide the sentence as one or more of the following:
Atonement (doing a specific quest for the Guild to atone).Fee (to be paid to a Guild pot used to equip newbes).Demotion (for an Officer).Discharge (exclusion of the Guild).Banishment (exclusion of the Guild and inscription in the Foes list).
In case the motion finds a non-member guilty against the Guild (like in the case of Kill Stealth), the leader will decide the sentence as one or more of the following:
Atonement (doing a specific quest for the Guild to atone).Fee (to be paid to a Guild pot used to equip newbes).Banishment (inscription in the Foes list).
Disclaimer:
This is our Charter.Well, the Elvish
version of it.Obviously our Charter is written in True Gaellic,
but we thought Norrath needed an Elvish version. It means I'm in
no way responsible if the translation is not perfect. In the original,
we are supposed to drink more.
