Baking
How to become a master Baker?
Advice:
1) NEVER stack item during trade training.
2) Use the [Control] button allow you to get just 1 stackable item.
3) Use intelligence buff item if you have some (to learn faster).
4) My point here is not to give you all the recipes.
What do you need?
2 or 3 empty backpacks.
Around 3-5pp or a little more if you buy all things you need.
3 hours or less if you buy all things you need.
Mixing bowl + 1 Split.
Where?
At first: in any newbe area.
Then East Common and East Freeport.
At what level?
Lvl 1 is great.
What for?
Become a baker is absolutly useless to get money.
Except for a few quest (Soulfire, Paw of Opolla).
And for fun, and role playing things.
You can also try to sell stack of self made food to high lvl monk,
because the weight of Baker made food is only 0.1, and not 0.4, 0.6 or even more.
(Don't know how much you can sell them, around 5pp a stack or more,
perhaps 50pp a full backpack).
How?
Before starting I have 2 good news for you:
1°) All ingredients used here are stackable.
2°) You will not lose much money in training (even if you buy all you need).
You can put 1 or 2 pts in the skill at your guild, but it’s really not necessary.
(1 point is great, you might win 10mn of training).
The first thing you will create is...
Sandwich (trivial at 26):
Go to a baker ingredients seller and buy a Mixing Bowl.
Then come to the newbe area of any town,
there go to all vendors and buy all the meat you can find
(lion, rat, wolf, bear, elephant, mammoth, gator, etc...).
Buy around 80 bread.
Then put 1 meat and 1 bread in the Bowl and combine.
Use preferably Rat Meat and Wolf Meat if you have enough of them to go to 26 in skill.
Because other meat sell for much more in Beer Braised way.
MY ADVICE: Instead of making sandwiches,
buy all the rat ears (giant or regular one) you find
(the woman in purple dress in Inn3 in EC also sell some).
Then put 1 Giant Rat Ear (or 2 regular ones)
+ 1 Baking Spirit
+ 1 Cup Of Flour in the Mixing Bowl.
Then Combine: that makes a stackable Uncooked Rat Ear Pie.
Keep them you will use them to rise your skill from 135 to 140 (145?).
I don’t know when Uncooked Rat Ear Pie is trivial, but it might be around 26 I think.
When sandwich (or uncooked rat ear pie) is trivial... Steaks (trivial at 47):
You can sell the Mixing Bowl, you will never use it again
(except if you want to do some more Rat ear pies, you little greedy!).
Don’t sell it if you want to do the Cookies step... or rise skill above 135.
Go to a mold vendor and buy a split
(same usage as a Oven but you can carry it).
Then buy around 140 Jug Of Sauces and as much of Spices
(depends of you Int.: with 60 Int or less, buy around 160 Sauces,
upper then 80-120 Sauces will be enough).
Anyway, you can use the rest of the Sauces for Fish Fillets
and the rest of the Spices for Beer Braised.
Put 1 meat (use preferably rat or wolf)
+ 1 Jug of Sauces
+ 1 Spices in the split (or in the Oven if you don’t want to buy one) then Combine.
When steak is trivial... Beer Braised (trivial at 66):
Buy 60 Small Beers and some more Spices to get to 3 full stacks (60).
Put 1 meat (use Lion, Bear, Mammoth or Gator preferably
because that makes 2 or more pieces, 5 for the Mammoth)
+ Short Beer (some guide talk about Tall Beer,
I don’t know where they found that,
I have never seen one,
and short beer just work fine)
+ Spices in the Spit and... COMBINE! Yee you got it&!
At that time you will win some money,
even if you sell your product to vendors.
Yep Baking is the only skill where you can finish the training
with more money then you start with
(don’t dream anyway: the best of us [200 Wis, 200 Cha]
will finish with a few more pp, not much) !!
When Beer Braised is trivial... Fish Fillets (trivial at 82):
At that point, if you don’t want to lose too much time,
just go to Freeport (or anywhere they sell fish)
and buy all the fish you need.
If you have plenty of time,
grab a fishing pool and go fishing for loooooooong hours.
Also buy some more Jug of Sauces (to go to 60).
Put 1 Fresh Fish
+ 1 Jug Of Sauces in the spit and Combine.
1 billion Combines later (or so) you will have your skill at 82.
Keep the rest of fish for Fish Rolls.
When Fish Fillets is trivial... Cookies (trivial at 102):
For that you’ll need Cookie Cutter (this is made by a BlackSmith).
I never made some (and I am Master Smith)
because I didn’t want to make a Cookie Cutter,
find Snake Eggs and find an other Mixing Bowl (I had sold mine long ago).
Anyway if you can do or buy one Cookie Cutter,
this is the fastest way to Master.
And the vendor near the newbe area always sell Snake Eggs.
You need Clumps of Dough
(1 Cup of Flour
+ 1 Milk
+ 1 Snake Eggs in the Mixing Bowl).
Put Clumps of Dough
+ Frosting
+ Spices
+ Cookie Cutter in the Spit... Combine.
You will not lose the Cookie Cutter,
even if you failed.
Congratulation! Now you are a Master Baker!
